My Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author - Katara Patton  … AT THIS LINK   … Told of her grandma’s Saturday night ritual of putting out her Sunday clothes to get ready to go to church … EVERY week.  One Saturday night the ODB author’s grandma was rushed to the hospital and ultimately died. And the next morning the author’s Grandfather found her clothes … all laid out and ready to go to church just like her grandma was ready to go to be with her Lord in heaven.    

And my fellow Christians, reading with me here today, are we ready - are you ready - for Christ to return?  Are we ready for Him if He were to return for His Bride today?  Personally, like the 10 virgins in Jesus’ parable [Matthew 25], and like the ant in Solomon’s warning [Proverbs 6], or from the other Bible passages shared above,…  i’m convicted that I could - and should - do much more to get ready to be with and serve my Lord forever.   How about you?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for the opportunity to serve You today, … getting ready to be with You, Lord, forever.

 

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I praise You, … again today, Lord. … for calling us to BE PREPARED for Your coming again.     … Amen
