My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Unpublished online - Patricia Raybon  … AT THIS LINK   … related a delightful story of how the coach of the local middle-school basketball team had to strongly and receptively had to call his player to overcome their fear of shooting the ball.  They would willingly pass and dribble the ball but were hesitant to “go for it” and shoot.  And when they finally did it, of course, made all the difference, allowing them to win a few games.   

The story, the ODB author, felt illustrates what is brought out in the linked song and the Scriptures shared above; … that people need the Lord and His saving grace; but they will not hear of God’s love unless we, His disciples, are willing to “go for it” and share the Gospel with those who need The Lord,  … and that, of course, is EVERYONE.   I - for one - am going to take “the shot” today when I get the ball to shoot.  How about you?
