My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, James Banks … AT THIS LINK … told of looking into the frowning face of his 10 week-old granddaughter and assuring her, with an assuring voice that she was loved by her parents, grandparents, and most of all by Jesus; and as the ODB author quietly lay in his arms, little Leilani (her name) smiled as if she sensed his assurance.
And if my readers have taken in the linked song and meditated on the Scriptures shared above, I think you might be uplifted and edified by God’s word, as I was realizing that when we come to the Lord with surrendered and open hearts, like a little child does with a reassuring parent or grandparent, we can - and will - have the humility and dependence on God to receive them (us) into His kingdom. And I fell like one of those little children in Mark 10 and Luke 18 (see above) today. How about you?
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … Lord … for for receiving my neediness into Your presence and strength today.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I praise You, … Lord. …for receiving me as I jump into Your lap today, needing Your strength to cover my weakness. … Amen
