My Journal for Today: Today’s Our Daily Bread devotional entry, authored by Mart De Haan, related the story of a photo which went viral on Facebook (see attached photo) in November of 2013. You can read about this story BY GOING TO THIS LINK .
The story and photo, linked and copied above, was a simple act of human kindness, … where a subway rider allowed a man whom he didn’t know to rest on his shoulder for close to an hour as the two rode in the subway seated together. And the story was apparently so novel that people wanted to spread the story of this act of kindness to all of their friends when they saw the photo on the Internet. Isn’t it too bad that such acts of kindness are so radically novel in our culture?
Jesus, when He ministered and shared His life with others during his three years of ministry often demonstrated His love to others - even those who were considered sinners or outcasts; and just a few of those instances of His radical love and kindness are linked and copied above for our mutual review.
Today as we walk about in our little worlds, where can we … or where will we … show the love and kindness of our Savior?
My Prayer for Today … O Lord, … Help me to let others see You with some act of kindness I can offer to another. … Amen
