Reference Passage #4 - Romans 11: 36 [NKJV]
36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever.
… And let us not forget it!!
My Journal for Today: Today’s Our Daily Bread devotional entry, authored by Lawrence Darmani, took his readers (me) back to the OT times when Pharaoh claimed that the great Nile river was HIS, … created in and for him as Pharaoh. And God (in the highlight passages from Ezekiel 29) reminded this earthly king as to know exactly whom he was in the grand scheme of things.
And unfortunately it’s too easy to giggle and say to ourselves, “Whom did that dude think he was,” claiming that the Nile, created by God, was his; and then we look at something in this world, and claim it to be our own, saying … “That’s mine!”
But if you’ve taken in today’s photo image from Psalm 19: 1, the linked songs, and the reference Scriptures from the ODB author, we are reminded, especially by Paul in Romans 11: 36, that ALL THINGS are FROM God and were created FOR Him in this world and in our lives. And we’re also reminded - FORCEFULLY - by no less that the first of The Ten Commandments from God [see Exodus 20: 1] that our Lord will have no other gods or idols to come before His Holy Name.
So, as Brian Doerksen sings above, “Creation Calls,” and as Andrae Crouch sings, “To God Be the Glory!”
My Prayer Today: Lord, everything around me reminds me that You are my God! Amen
