My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Harold Myra, made reference to Brother Lawrence, who, as a monk in the 1600s, wrote about finding the presence of God at all times … in all circumstances. The ODB author wrote: The seventeenth-century monk Brother Lawrence, before a day’s work as cook in his community, would pray, “O my God . . . grant me your grace to stay in your presence. Help me in my labors. Possess all my affections.” As he worked, he kept talking to God, listening for His leading and dedicating his work to Him. Even when he was busiest, he would use intervals of relative calm to ask for His grace. No matter what was happening, he sought for and found a sense of his Maker’s love.

I’m no brother Lawrence. And I’m certainly no Apostle Paul with his insights about God, …having contentment and confidence in God’s presence in all things (see reference scriptures). No, but I’m probably more like the Prophet Habakkuk who came to God confused and feeling distant from his God, … but pursued his God and found that he could find joy and God’s presence no matter how bad things got (see Habakkuk 3:17-18).

Yes, my fellow Christian, we need not despair anywhere/anytime; … because God has promised to ALWAYS be there with us and for us. And that’s what the Psalmist wrote about [see nightlight passages above] in seeking the Messiah even in the toughest times of life.

He’s there, my friends, … alway there; and God WILL make a way where there seems to be no way (see linked song).

My Prayer Today: Abba Father, … King Jesus, … Precious Spirit … Thank You, Lord, for being here with me this morning … and every day. … Amen
