My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Lisa M Samra, AT THIS LINK … showed that one has to be careful in hanging pictures to a certain type of wall … i.e., to use the right kind of nails, lest the wall hangings will fall.
And those are the same kind of word pictures used in God’s word to show that we must affix our anchor of faith to the Rock of Ages, … i.e., Jesus, … so that our hope of eternity will hold fast thru the storms of life. That’s the message of the two linked songs and all the Scriptures above, isn’t it? And that’s why I’m here again this morning, … making sure I steady my ship in the storms of life with my anchor of faith strongly attached to God’s truth.
How about your anchor, dear one? Is it strongly holding on the Rock of Ages?
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, King Jesus, … for steadying my ship of faith in these storms we’re going thru by affixing my anchor of faith to You, Lord, … “The Rock of Ages.”
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to strongly attach our anchors of faith to The Rock of Ages today. … Amen
