My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Winn Collier, AT THIS LINK … relates a true story of Samoan rugby players covering over their ethnic tattoos (see photo) with body suits when they played in Japan where tattoos are taboo. It was a good, living and loving, example of all the Scriptures above which teach us to avoid making judgments where our personal choices make us seem superior to others.
Rather, … I think all Christians reading here would agree that our Lord, by His humble life example, serving others with love no matter who they were, showed us to avoid any judgmental attitude which would be a stumbling block to showing God’s love or serving others. Can I get a witness that we, as Christians, should all go forth today and show our love to others by refraining from judging anyone as inferior to us?
That’s what Jackie DeShannon sings in the linked song, doesn’t she; and I pray it will be the way we live - to love others - today … and then again tomorrow.
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, King Jesus, … for showing us the way to let love reign and pride die in our lives.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to let Christlike love rein in our lives by refraining from letting our prideful attitudes be a stumbling block to God’s love. … Amen
