My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Bill Crowder … USE THS LNK - … wrote about Thomas de Mahy, an aristocrat during the French revolution in the 18th century, who, when he received a death warrant from the mobs of that day, was quoted as saying, “I see that you have made three spelling mistakes.” De Mahy obviously ignored the important reality that he was facing a life or death consequence for his existence.
How many of us go through life ignoring the most important reality, and that is our position on whether Jesus died and was raised to defeat sin AND DEATH … just as the linked song and the Scriptures above attest. And we, who have faith in Christ’s death and resurrection, realize that we are called to bear witness to our faith in the truth of “The Gospel;” … so that all who need God’s saving grace will be able to hear God’s “GOOD NEWS,” … and to receive it. I’m certainly one of those who has decided to believe in and follow Jesus as my Lord. How about you?
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … Lord … for giving me Your saving grace.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... thank You, Lord, for giving us, as Your faithful followers, the opportunity to share Your “Good News” with others who need Your love. … Amen
