My Journal for Today: Today’s Our Daily Bread author, Marvin Williams, begins his entry with an illustrative story, writing … After Estella Pyfrom retired from teaching, she bought a bus, decked it out with computers and desks, and now drives the “Brilliant Bus” through Palm Beach County, Florida, providing a place for at-risk children to do their homework and learn technology. Estella is providing stability and hope to children who might be tempted to throw away their dream for a better tomorrow.
Ms Pyfrom is doing all she can to get the hopes of young people hooked in with the stability they can find with enlightened education. And in the first century the Author of of the Book of Hebrews was trying to get persecuted and scattered believers - mostly Jewish - to affix their hope of faith in the “Rock of Ages,” … the Son of God, … our Lord, Jesus, … The Christ. And that is the same message The Gospel of God’s Kingdom, which rings forth today, where Jesus invites any/all who would come to Him to set their anchor of faith in Him, the “ROCK OF AGES’!”
My hope is simple today for any reading here. I pray - and will below - that you have your anchor of faith solidly set in the Rock of Ages.
My Prayer Today: Oh Lord, … I pray that any here with me today have their anchor of faith solidly set in You, King Jesus, the Rock of Ages. Amen
