Reference Passage #1 - Genesis 1: 27 [ESV] …
27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God, He created him; male and female He create them.
… Me! ... He created me in His image.

Reference Passage #2 - Isaiah 40: 12 [ESV] …
12 Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand and marked off the heavens with a span, enclosed the dust of the earth in a measure and weighed the mountains in scales and the hills in a balance?
… God did all that … and He created ME for Himself. How special is that?

Reference Passage #3 - Ephesians 2: 10 [ESV] …
10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
… God saved me through His grace so that I - little ole me! - could glorify Him with my life.

Reference Passage #4 - Philippians 1: 6 [ESV] …
6 And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ.
… God is remaking us into His own image.  Wow; that's big stuff?!!

Reference Passage #4 - 1st Timothy 6: 17-19 [ESV] USE THIS LINK
… God created all things for me [and you] so that we could give our all to/for Him. How special is that? !!

My Journal for Today: Today’s Our Daily Bread author, Dave Brannon, writes of the vastness of the universe (see attached photo), which might have a tendency to make us feel in significant. He writes: We are among seven billion people who coexist on a tiny planet that resides in a small section of a rather insignificant solar system. Our earth, in reality, is just one minuscule blue dot among billions of celestial bodies that God created. On the gigantic canvas that is our universe, our beautiful, majestic Earth appears as a tiny speck of dust. … That could make us feel extremely unimportant and inconsequential. However, God’s Word suggests that just the opposite is true.

If one, as I do, believes that word of God [i.e., the Bible] to be absolutely true, taking in and meditating on the Scriptures above tell us that God made each of as a reflection of Himself [see Genesis 1: 27]; and in and of itself, that’s significant enough. However, the rest of the passages above tell us that He created us all as “fearfully and wonderfully made,” (see Psalm 139: 14), giving us His entire creation (see 1st Tim. 6: 17-19) so that we can be recreated into the image of Christ [see Philippians 1: 6] … to be His workmanship so that our works would glorify God (see Ephesians 2: 10).

Okay, … fellow significant one; … what can we do today to glorify Him?

My Prayer Today: Oh Lord, … Help me see that You made me big enough to serve You … and that’s a pretty big deal!! Amen
