Highlight Passage:  2nd Peter 1:2-3 [NKJV] … USE THIS LINK
… Yes, we have all we need in Christ
===========
Highlight Context – 2nd Peter 1:1-10 [NKJV] … USE THIS LINK
… Peter related the essence of the sufficiency of God’s grace to live in this word.
===========

Reference Passage #1 … 2nd Cor. 12: 9 [NKJV] … USE THIS LINK …
9 And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
… Even His empowering grace to cover our weakness.

Reference Passage #2 … Ephesians 3:20 [NKJV] …
20 Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, …
… Our God is most certainly capable of providing all we need … AND MORE … thru His grace.

Reference Passage #2 … Philippians 4:19 [NKJV] …
19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
 … God’s promise of provision through Paul.

My Journal for Today:  … Our Daily Bread author, Jennifer Benson Schuldt, related an illustrative story about G.K.Chesterton, the famous British apologist, who went out to sketch the lovely British countryside with pastel chalks. And when he arrived, with a lovely scene to sketch (see attached photo), he discovered that he had forgotten to bring an essential color of chalk … WHITE. But then, laughingly, Chesterton discovered that all he had to do was pick up any rock around him because the countryside was made up of white limestone. which essentially is white chalk. And in that moment G.K. realized how God provides what we need to live this life.

And that is the devotional message today for any/all reading here; and it is conveyed in the passages by the Apostles Peter and Paul above … that God’s Spirit will give us all we need to live our lives … if only we but surrender our ways to His. Certainly it’s a tough lesson to hold onto in life, isn’t it [?]; … especially when we’re confronted by pain, anguish, and our own obvious weaknesses. But both Peter and Paul recognized God’s willingness, and most certainly His ability through His Spirit, to give us what we need when we need it.

So, I pray today that we go out and use what God provides us to draw out our picture of life.

My Prayer Today:  O, Heavenly Father, … Lord, you’re all I need!!  Amen
