July 5, 2018 … God’s Glorious Creation

Berry Patch Devotions in 2017 - Day 185

Devotional Song: … GO TO THIS LINK …  Please take the time to take in a YouTube video of images and lyrics from Gordon Mote singing his song … Don’t Let Miss the Glory … poignantly and powerfully singing of how we, as God’s created glory, should pray to see and appreciate every day all our Lord has created for our good and His glory.

… We must realize that God created all we read of in Genesis 1 for our good and His glory!!

Reference Passage : … Philippians 4:19 [NLT]… 19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.
… For our good and His glory, God has provided, on this earth and in this life, all we need.

My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Dave Branon, uses a wonder of nature to illustrate how we should see God’s wondrous creation. The ODB author wrote: On a recent visit with some of our grandchildren, we enjoyed watching a web cam that focused on an eagle family in Florida. Every day we would check in on the mom, the dad, and the baby as they went about their daily routine in their nest high off the ground [see photo]. Each day the parent birds would keep a constant, protective vigil over the eaglet, bringing it fish from a nearby river for nourishment.

All I ask of my fellow Christians (readers) today is that you take the time to take in the YouTube piece of Gordon Mote singing the song He wrote and sings to honor God’s wondrous creation; and then realize that Gordon Mote is blind (as you’ll see in the video).

This remarkable Christian artist (songwriter, pianist, and singer) played and sang that song on a cruise my wife and I took to Alaska a couple of years ago; and on this trip, along with about 1400 other Christians, we took in some of God’s wondrous glories in the nature of the great Northwest.

I pray that we all look around, no matter where we are today, with the appreciation that God’s grace deserves with all He has provided for us in and from this earth that He has created for us and for His glory.

My THANKFULNESS: … Oh Lord, Jesus, thank You all You have created for our well being and Your glory.

My Prayer Today: Abba Father, … King Jesus, … Precious Spirit … Help me to take in all that is around me with the praise You deserve for its glory. … Amen
