My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Alyson Kieda, relates a story about a friend to illustrate how God we can find a degree of peace and comfort knowing that God always hears our prayers. The ODB author writes … Diane listened as the others in the group asked for prayers for their family members and friends facing challenges or illness. She had a family member who had been struggling with an addiction for years. But Diane kept her request silent. …
Although Diane didn’t share her request with that group, she did have a few trusted friends she asked to pray with her. Together they asked God to set her loved one free from the very real bondage of addiction and hat he might experience freedom in Christ —and that God would give Diane the peace and patience she needed. As she prayed, she found comfort and strength from her abiding relationship with her Lord.

Ever been in a place in life where you felt like God wasn’t listening? Diane, in the ODB story, apparently felt that way; but being a prayer warrior, she persisted, … finding friends to pray with and for her troubled family member. And that’s the attitude and persistence we need to have … as Jaci Valesquez sings in the linked song, … that anytime/anywhere we can go to Jesus, as the Scriptures above declare, knowing that our Lord ALWAYS hears our prayers.

Yes, He hears us even when He seems silent for long periods of time! In fact, … how do we need to be praying today? My dear ones, … as God’s word exhorts today - and all days - let’s pray!!
