… We must hold on to our crown of life dearly because our Lord is coming and He will give us a new name as He crowns us in glory as the heir to His throne of grace.

My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, Mike Wittmer, uses a personal reflection to illustrate how we, as born-again Christians have been completely freed from the slavery of our sin nature and adopted into the family of God as heirs to God’s throne of grace. The ODB author writes … I’m glad when a philanthropist builds an orphanage for homeless children. I’m thrilled when that person gives even more and adopts one of them. Most orphans would be delighted merely to have a patron. But then to learn the sponsor isn’t content merely to help me but also wants me. How must that feel?
If you’re a child of God you already know, because it’s happened to you.

Dear ones, … reading here with me, … if you’re truly born-again and saved by God’s love [John 3:16-17], having repented of your sin and completely received God’s saving grace, then you know what the ODB author is writing is true. We are God’s redeemed and adopted sons and daughters; … and we’re not only freed from our bondage to sin; but we’ve been made heirs to God’s throne and will be crowned with His glory and given a new name when enter into His glory [Rev. 3:11-12].

And I pray today, humbly and thankfully, that we’re all living as heirs to God’s throne of sanctifying grace, having fully accepted the mantle of His adoption and walking in the freedom that He gave us by allowing us to be redeemed from our slavery to sin and made to be children of the King

So, listen to … and meditate on … the 2 linked songs and rejoice with me as fully redeemed members of God’s family!!

My THANKFULNESS: … Oh Abba Father, … thank You, Lord, … for adopting me and giving me a new name when I join You in Your heavenly family.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, … King Jesus, … I pray, Lord, that all reading here can, and will, join me today to live our live as children of the Savior rather than slaves to self. … Amen
