My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread  Author , Sheridan Voysey -  AT THIS LINK -  writes of actress Nichelle Nichols, who played Lieutenant Ohura in the original TV Star Trek series and considered leaving the role after the first year of production.  But Nichols, the first African-American to have a lead role in a TV series, was encouraged to stay in the role by Martin Luther King, who told her how the actress would be serving to show others of her race how they can be leaders no matter the color of their skin.   

And that example of service to others is what today’s ODB entry is calling from those of us who claim Christ as our Lord and Savior.  Taking in the linked song and Scriptures above, I’m convinced I (and we all) can do more to serve others with Christlike service.  Do you agree that we can do more to serve others today than we have in the past?   If so, let’s go serve others today in Christ’s name.
