My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Kenneth Peterson -  AT THIS LINK -  reviews how the life and work of Katherine Johnson, a black female, chosen to work for NASA in the 50’s and 60’s because of her remarkable skills as a mathematician.  Johnson worked in a NASA work environment dominated by males, many of whom were bigoted against African-Americans at the time.  But Johnson’s mathematical skills and Christian gifting won over the admiration and respect of astronauts like John Glenn, who relied on Johnson to come up with the calculations of the first space launch in the race to the moon in the 60’s.

The ODB story today, which illustrates God’ call for His chosen people - ALL who would be born-again as Christians - to use what talents/gift which they (we) have been given to use as Christians to serve God and be worthy of God’s calling as His servants.  And today’s ODB entry challenged me to ask myself if I was truly using all God has given me to serve Him for HIS GLORY?  Perhaps you, hearing the linked song and meditating on the Scriptures above, well be led to ask yourself if you are using your God-given gifts and talents for God’s glory TODAY.  What about it?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me special gifts to serve You.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray. again today, that all reading here will join me today, … to use what You have given us, Lord, to serve You today and onward in all of Your tomorrows.     … Amen
