10 This is what the Lord says: “You will be in Babylon for seventy years. But then I will come and do for you all the good things I have promised, and I will bring you home again.

Reference Passage: … Psalms 37:4 [NLT] …

Take delight in the Lord,  and He will give you your heart’s desires.

King David sings of God’s promise to provide and protect those who faithfully delight in seeking and following God’s will and His ways.

Reference Passage: … Isaiah 43:2 [NLT] …

When you go through deep waters,  I will be with you.  When you go through rivers of difficulty, you will not drown.  When you walk through the fire of oppression, you will not be burned up;  the flames will not consume you.

… God’s promise, thru Isaiah, to always be with His faithful remnant of believers.

Highlight Passage (in context)  … 2Corinthians 1:20 [NLT] …

20 For all of God’s promises have been fulfilled in Christ with a resounding “Yes!” And through Christ, our “Amen” (which means “Yes”) ascends to God for His glory.

… The Apostle Paul assures fellow Christians (and us too) that all of God’s promises to His people were (and are) fulfilled in Christ.

Reference Passage: … Philippians 4:19 [NLT] …

19 And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from His glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus.

… The Apostle Paul again witnesses to assure fellow Christians that God would fulfill His promises to provide ALL the needs of His faithful followers of Christ.

Reference Passage: … Hebrews 13:8 [NLT] …

Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

… God’s word, thru the author of Hebrews, shows that our Lord, whom we follow faithfully, will NEVER change.

My Devotional JournalToday’s  Our Daily Bread  Author, Matt Lucas -  AT THIS LINK  -  writes of returning to his old home town in Oregon, which crystalized many memories of the past where his family grew up.  And the visit also led him to remember how Jeremiah was led by God to help God’s exiled people in Babylon (See Highlight passage) remember God’s promises to ALWAYS be with/for His faithful people, … providing for and protecting His remnant of believers.

I pray that my readers here today have taken in the linked song and meditated on the Scriptures above and are lifted up, as I was, remembering God’s promises (See photo) … promises to watch over and provided for those who truly love the Lord and who have surrendered to faithfully follow Jesus as Lord.  Praying that’s us!!

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for reminding me of Your promises today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray. again today, that all reading here will join me today, … to remember Your FOREVER promises.       … Amen
