My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Mike Wittmer - AT THIS LINK - uses the movie story of Rock Balboa (see photo), in the movie Rocky 3, where Rocky was failing in his training and discipline, but ultimately trying to regain his strength and competitive edge, … illustrating how Christian believers need to all we can to maintain our faith and strength, but to ALWAYS rely and trust that we get our strength and solid footing in life from God no matter what we may face in life.
And I can think of a number of times in my life when I tried to take on too much - on my own - when God’s empowering and enabling grace was there to pick me up and give me HIS strength when I waned in my faith.
