My Devotional JournalToday’s  Our Daily Bread  Author, Tom Felton -  AT THIS LINK  -   describes the meaning behind a scene from J.R. Tolkien’s classic work The Fellowship of The Ring, where the primary character is charged to follow the course set before him.

And today’s ODB entry, thru the passages shared from God’s word above, as a calling from God’s truth to stay the course God has set before us to faithfully follow His will and His ways.  BUT - and there’s always a “BUT,” isn’t there? - God is calling us to stay HIS course, isn’t He?   And He challenges us, asking thru His word, are we staying His course?  Or, are we, like Saul in the highlight passage, balking … to follow our own, selfish, ways?  Oh, how I pray NOT!

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, …for giving me Your path to follow, Lord.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray. again today, that all reading here will join me today, … to surrender and faithfully follow Your course, Lord, … today and ALWAYS.  … Amen
