… Isaiah [700+ years before Christ comes] prophesies that One will come (i.e., The Messiah) to lead His faithful followers out of their darkness … into God’s light.

Reference Passage: … 1Peter 2:9 [NLT] …

But you are not like that, for you are a chosen people. You are royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, you can show others the goodness of God, for He called you out of the darkness into his wonderful light.

… Peter recognized that God’s calling oh His faithful people was to lead them [us] out of the darkness of sin, following Christ’s light, and onto God’s path of righteousness.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Lisa M Samra, AT THIS LINK   … relates the story of young John F Kennedy Jr getting disoriented in a small plane in foggy weather and not using his instruments properly to lead him safely to his destination and avoiding the crash which led to his death.

It’s easy for us to get off the track in the storms and fogginess of life, isn’t it?  But if we Christians seek and follow the light of God’s word (see photo), we can, as Matthew West sings in the linked song, come out of the fogginess of our sin nature and the darkness and confusion of our world … onto God’s path of righteous which clearly comes from God’s truth.

I pray we use God’s light today as our instrumentation and our “GPS” (I.e., God’s Positioning System) … to follow His light of truth out of our darkness. My friend(s), Christ is our Light … from His word; … let’s follow it today … and tomorrow too!

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for shining Your light of truth on my path today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to seek out God’s light from Your word, Lord, which leads us out of our darkness and the storms of life and onto Your clear path. … Amen
