Aug 2, 2025 … The King Is My Dad

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...  Please take the time to hear music and lyrics with Bill Gaither singing… The Family of God,  … of the blessing to be saved and a part of the family of God.

Highlight Passage: … Romans 8:16-17 … [NLT] …

16 For His Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children. 17 And since we are His children, we are His heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God’s glory. But if we are to share His glory, we must also share His suffering. …

Paul shows that all born-again Christians are adopted into the family of God as heirs to His Throne.

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author,  Kenneth Petersen AT THIS LINK      relates the curious, but true story of two prominent families in American history in 1863, when Robert Todd Lincoln, the son of The President of the U.S., was saved from being hit by a train in Jersey City by the brother of the man who would later assassinate president Lincoln.  And the ODB author used this story to show how intertwined we are in our lives with others who are all part of God’s family.

But we do need to insert a caveat to that illustration, … in that, ONLY those who are born-again Christians will be - and are - a part of God’s family, … with all the rights declared for them by Jesus dying on the cross for any/all who would surrender their (our) lives to make Jesus our Father and our King.   The King is my Daddy!   .. . How about you?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for bringing me into Your family to be my Father and my King.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I praise You, … again Lord. …for being my Daddy, … my King!   … Amen
