My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Monica La Res… USE THIS LINK relates a 13th century French legendary story of a knight leaving his greyhound dog to watch over his baby son and coming home from a time away to find the baby gone and blood everywhere and on the mouth of the dog. But after killing the dog, the knight was shown that it was a large snake which had attacked the child and the dog had killed the snake and the child was found alive and well.
And the ODB author’s story in today’s entry reminded her of the story in God’s word of how The Lord opened the eyes of the Prophet Balaam (see the highlight passage), who couldn’t see that his donkey was doing all he could to allow Balaam to see God’s intended protection. And so, my prayer today is that I will be able to see God’s ways more clearly and to follow His desires more closely. Are you with me?
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You … for giving me the linked song and God’s word to see You more clearly and follow You more closely.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, … for opening our eyes, thru Your word, to see Your ways more clearly. … Amen
