Daily Berry Patch Devotions in 2015 - Day 111

Devotional Song: … Go to this link  … Please take the time to take in a video of group, Planetshakers, singing their uplifting song … Nothing Is Impossible, declaring reality of God’s ability to give us strength in the face of the seemingly impossible. … And then ON TO THIS LINK where Fernando Ortega, beautifully sings, I Need Thee Every Hour with the lyrics to this old hymn, which give us the confidence afforded by a Lord we need every moment of every day.

… Impossible? … Anxious?! … Well, what then? … Yes, … we’re to pray with a thankful heart, trusting that God will hear us.

My Journal for Today: Today’s Our Daily Bread devotional entry, authored by Marion Stroud, introduced his entry today with a personal story, illustrating that life can present some pretty impossible situations at times. And if so, what do we do?

Well, author Stroud then used a very familiar Bible story to bring his message today … that there are situations in life that may seem - or even be - impossible by human standards. But if you’ve taken in the linked songs and the highlight/reference Scriptures above, we see what God’s word clearly says about such situations; and we see what Joshua did when he was presented with one of those “impossible” situations in the taking of the heavily-walled city of Jericho as God’s people entered the Promised Land.

The question for this disciple of Christ is - “Do I really believe God’s willingness and ability to handle my tough situations, especially those seemingly impossible ones?” … Well, in two of the passages above (see Prov. 3: 5-6 & Phil. 4: 6-7), our God gives us His prescriptions for dealing with the anxiety of life’s tough circumstances. … And I’m dealing with my own conviction that I need to be more trusting and less anxious.

How about you? Yes, … take in all of the above and see where you stand when it comes to facing life’s “impossible” circumstances.

My Prayer Today: Lord, help me in my unbelief, … especially when faced with life’s real crunchers. Oh, my Savior, how I need You every hour! Amen
