My Journal for Today:  Today’s Our Daily Bread author, Bill Crowder, began his teaching today with reference to one of my favorite Christmas songs, The Drummer Boy, written in 1941. And having seen a magnificent contemporary performance of this Christmas classic at our church service this past Sunday, I was taken by the pertinent reminder of how we, as Christians, should be giving, … from joyful heart, not only to honor Jesus at Christmas, but 24/7, 365 days each year, surrendering our all to/for our Lord.

Really, I don’t need to add to the teaching beyond this ODB entry (use the link below to take it in). But PLEASE take the time to fully digest the two You Tube links above; and then meditate on God’s word concerning giving from a sacrificial, loving heart; and I know you’ll either be reinforced and encouraged by these thoughts or you will be convicted to give more sacrificially from a pure and joy-filled heart … as did the poor widow in Luke 2:1-4.

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY, Jesus!!! ... Everyday!!!

My Prayer Today:  Heavenly Father, … May I be willing to give my all as Brian Littrell sings today and everyday. … Amen

Blogger Note:  Everyday during this year, my daily devotional blogs are influenced by the reading and study of the online devotional blog entitled Our Daily Bread, distributed online via email by RBC Ministries.  If you GO TO THIS LINK on the date of my blog, you can read/study the ODB blogs; or you can subscribe to the blog via email at that site.
