My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author - Arthur Jackson … AT THIS LINK      …  uses the commitment and devotion of the main character of a movie, entitled The Courier, made of a true story … where a young man. named Grevlle, was given the opportunity to walk away from imprisonment in a cruel prison by renouncing his friendship with a dear friend.   But Greville would not renounce his friendship and went to prison because of his commitment to his friend.   

And this movie plot reminded the ODB author of the commitment of Ruth to follow her mother-in-law, Naomi, to a foreign land, … making a commitment to follow Naomi’s God.   And I’m personally remembering the day, a little over 40 years ago, when I renounced my fears and doubts about God to follow Jesus the rest of my life.  What about you?  Have you made a commitment to follow Jesus as the three friends sing about in the linked song?   I pray so!!     

         

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for showing me how to follow You, Jesus, … all the way to glory.
