<b><u>My Devotional Journal</u>:</b> Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Winn Collier … <b>AT THIS LINK</b> https://www.odbm.org/en/devotionals/devotional-category/god-is-everywhere      … relates the true story of Joshua Bell, one of the most heralded violinist in the world, putting on a baseball cap and T-shirt and setting up to play His 3.5 million dollar Stadivarious violin in a subway station in Washington, DC; and as Bell played some of the most complex pieces he had played the night before a large concert hall to the applause of thousands, no one in the subway station recognized him and only a few people dropped any money in the hat Bell had placed where has playing.      

And Winn Collier, the author today’s ODB entry, was using this story to illustrate how we, who believe in Jesus as our Lord and Savior, too often walk thru life not recognizing God’s omnipotent presence.  Personally, every time I start each day, ,,, as today, … by going into God’s word, as I did today , journaling from His truth, I become very aware of God’s enabling grace to show me His presence and His power in my life.  

Actually, I’m feeling His presence as I write these words   And how COOL IS THAT!!  … What about you, my fellow Christian?   How do you seek and recognize God’s presence in your life?

My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Nancy Gavilanes… AT THIS LINK      … wrote about taking a genealogy test and feeling uplifted to learn about where the ODB author came from and who was in her family.  And Nancy G connected this to reading the genealogies of Jesus in the Bible which show Christians to be a part of God’s family realized through faith in Christ as the Messiah and Lord of all..  .      

Oh how I pray that anyone reading my words here today are life up, hearing the linked song and reading of being a part of the legacy of God’s Spirit and sharing the lives of all those we read about in the Scriptures shared above.  Don’t you just want to say (or at least feel) a resounding ”HALLELUJAH”, knowing your (our) faith in Jesus as Messiah and Lord places all of us in the Family of God … FOREVER!  Even sitting here at my computer, writing these words, … I’m jacked (i.e., “heavenly uplifted”) about it!!   How about you?

My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Leslie Koh … AT THIS LINK     … related a story of a young father, named Andrew, who was frustrated while trying to teach his young son how to ride a bicycle.  The young boy kept looking to the right and falling to that direction each time   So, finally, Andrew told his son to look a pole in the distance; and when the son focused on the pole directly ahead, the boy was able to ride upright all the way down the sidewalk, .  .      

And the principle used by the dad in teaching his son to ride the bicycle is the same with us on our walk in life as Christians, isn’t it?   When we, as Christians, learn and apply the truths taught in the Scriptures shared above, ,,, i.e., to stay focused on following Jesus in our walk in life… , we will stay on track and upright as we follow Him all the way to glory.   That’s my intent.  How about you?

<My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Brent Hackett … AT THIS LINK     … wrote about the photography of Christian Spencer, publishing photos of hummingbirds in flight with the sun shining through their wings created a beautiful spectrum of color (see attached photo),  … which the ODB author believes gives viewers a glimpse of God’s glory.  .      

Personally, in taking in the linked song and the Scriptures shared above, I agree with the Apostle Paul, and am confident to follow God’s word and live to imitate Christ in my life, just as Paul did. And as we look around in creation, we see glimpses of God’s glory and the more we seek to follow Him thru His word, I believe we will reflect His glory in the way we live our lives. Are you with me?  Look around and let’s try to be reflections of God’s glory in the way we live for Him today.
