My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Bill Crowder … AT THIS LINK … wrote about what was considered to be a risky Hollywood decision made by the movie Director, Franco Zeffirelli, to cast two unknown teenagers to play the lead roles In the movie version of Shakspeare’s classic drama, Romeo and Juliet.
And this risky decision apparently reminded today’s ODB author, Bill Crowder, to recall the choices Jesus made in selecting the men He, The Lord, would charge to take His message of love and grace to he world. And today’s Highlight and Reference Scriptures show that the men Jesus selected as His Disciples, … His Apostles, … ended up to be not only impressive to the religious leaders of the day., but eternally effective, in what they accomplished.
The question - and the challenge - posed to me - and perhaps you - by today’s ODB entry is how effective are we as God’s chosen to be His disciples, called to follow Him and take His Gospel to the world? Personally, i can do more for His glory. How about you?
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for calling me to serve You, Lord, and giving me Your enabling and empowering grace.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I praise You, … again Lord. …for being with us, as You call us to serve You in this world. . … Amen
