My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Matt Lucas … AT THIS LINK … tells of a young woman, named Carlotta, who had a mother who had a gift of being able to recognize others and remember their names. But Carlotta herself suffered from an inherited condition called PROSOPSAGNOSIA, …not being able to see and recognize the faces of others. One can only imaging how frustrating and embarrassing it would be to not be able to recognize the faces of even family members until Carlotta heard their voices or recognized something that person did.
The story of Carlotta apparently reminded the ODB author of how, when Jesus appeared to His beloved followers, … and even His close Disciples, … they often couldn’t recognize Jesus until He did something only The Messiah could do. Personally, that is my challenge often, … being able to recognize it when My Lord presents Himself in some situation or circumstance to help me or to teach something to me. How about you? … Do you have trouble seeing our Lord at times as we live out our lives? Let’s pray that we see and hear our Lord more clearly today and in all our tomorrows.
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for being there for me so often when I need Your love and Your grace.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I praise You, … again Lord. … for being present and showing us of Your presence and power, O LORD! . … Amen
