My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author,  Sheridan Voysey AT THIS LINK        wrote about Aristotle declaring that no one could be friends with a god because no god would stoop low enough to share equality with lowly humans.  Well, the ODB author implies that Aristotle would decry the truth of the Bible, which shows how the act of fellowship, that Christians call “Communion,” depicts how God, in the person of Jesus, invites any/all who believe in Him to come and share His table with Him.  Hey Aristotle, that’s a pretty cool deal, isn’t it?!   Our God, … the only real GOD, … even invites philosophers like you to His table.

As my readers listen to Zach Williams and the linked song, I pray we all hear God’s invitation to share His table, described in the Scriptures shared above, which would show Aristotle  - or anyone willing to listen - of Jesus shedding His blood and His body, .. dying on a cross … so that we can come to His table, remembering Him as our Messiah and Lord.  I come to His table regularly in my church, sharing the Bread and the Cup with my brothers/sisters in Christ.   How about you?!  You’re certainly welcome at His table.  I’m praying you come there often.

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for inviting me to come to Your table, Lord.

My Prayer TodayOh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I praise You, … again Lord. …for inviting all of us to come to Your table to break bread and share Your cup. .  … Amen
