My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Anne Cetas … AT THIS LINK … relates how wealthy benefactors in several cities across the US issued a promise to pay for a four-year scholarship to any state college or university … if the students in those communities would keep their graces up to a set standard. And after these promises were instituted, the schools in those communities reported that the grades and behavior improved in their schools.
When my readers take in the promises from God’s word (shared above) and from Zach Williams in the linked song, how does it motivate any of us to do all we can to become more like Jesus as we wait for His return from glory to take us to be with Him … face-t0-face? Personally, that’s why I’m here every morning, beginning my day in God’s word and praying to become more like my Savior. Are you with me - at least here today?!
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … for Your promised return, Lord.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I praise You, … again Lord. … for making us over into Your image. … Amen
