My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Winn Collier, AT THIS LINK writes about the building codes in a state which allowed the use of sub-standard concrete, … causing thousands of homes to crumble and collapse.   

And that reality was the very word picture which Isaiah (see Isaiah 28:16) and Jesus (see Matt. 7 and Luke 6 above) and His disciples (see 1Cor. 3:11 and 1Peter 2:4-6) used to show that we must build our lives in obedient surrender to the words and commands of The Messiah, … our Savior, Jesus, The Christ, … for our lives to be able to withstand the storms of this life.  

And I pray that we all are building our lives on the foundation of an obedience to God’s word.  My fellow Christian, … that’s why you find me here, building myself up each day,  by using the building tools I find in God’s word.  … How are you building the foundation of your life?  

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, … for giving us the building blocks for life in the truth of Your word.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray that all reading here will join me, …to build the foundation of our lives from the building blocks of Your word.  … Amen
