…  Jesus’ proclamation was truth about His light but unrecognizable to the Jewish leaders.

…  Jesus declares openly He came into the world to save us from our own darkness (i.e., sin).

…  When we shine the light of Christ, the world will see the fruit of His Spirit.  

My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Arthur Jackson, AT THIS LINK wrote about the funeral of a large hulk of a young man who died of a generative condition but was eulogized as a bright light of his Christian faith, loudly and proudly declaring the light of Christ wherever he went. 

And the ODB entry today, as well as the Toby Mac song and the Scriptures above, mostly proclaiming Christ’s call to reflect His light into the world (see photo), almost screams for us, as disciples of Christ, to do all we can to live and walk so that others see Christ’s light and the fruit of His Spirit (see Gal. 5:22-23) in the way we choose to live our lives. 

What can we do - even today - to shine Christ’s light into an ever darkening world?  

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, … for showing me the way - thru Your word - to shine Your light in the way I live.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray that all reading here will join me, …to reflect Christ’s likeness and His light by the way we fruitfully follow Him … out of the darkness of this world into His Spirit-led light.
