Reference Passage #1 - John 3: 16 [NKJV] … USE THIS LINK
… You surely know this one about the extent of God’s love for His chosen ones.

Reference Passage #2 - Hebrews 13: 5 [NKJV] …
5 For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”
… The book of Hebrew Author’s quote of God retelling His people (from Deut. 31:6, 8) that His love would never abandon them.

My Journal for Today:  On this Mother’s Day, Our Daily Bread author, Lawrence Darmani, not surprisingly related a story of a mother’s steadfast and sacrificial love for her child.  He wrote: At her mother’s 50th birthday celebration with hundreds of people present, firstborn daughter Kukua [see photo] recounted what her mother had done for her. The times were hard, Kukua remembered, and funds were scarce in the home. But her single mother deprived herself of personal comfort, selling her precious jewelry and other possessions in order to put Kukua through high school. With tears in her eyes, Kukua said that no matter how difficult things were, her mother never abandoned her or her siblings.

And then ODB author, Darmani, used this story to illustrate God’s expression of His steadfast and certain love for His children, highlighting God’s expression of His love, in Isaiah 49:15, being like the steadfast and sure love of a mother for her new baby. I pray today, on this special day of recognition for our moms, that we recognize the extent of God’s love for His chosen - adopted - ones. LIKE ME. …

So, PLEASE take the time to take in the two songs above which express the extent of God’s love for His children … that love being even greater than the love of a Mother for her baby.

My Prayer Today:  O, Heavenly Father, … Lord, … Your love has always been deeper and greater than that of my mother for me. And THAT’S A WAY BIG LOVE !!! Amen
