Highlight Passage:  Proverbs 19:21  [ESV] ...

21 Many are the plans in the mind of a man, but it is the purpose of the Lord that will stand.

… We may make our plans; but it’s God’s purposes which are in control.

Reference Passage: … Proverbs 16:3, 21:5 [ESV] …  USE THIS LINK

More Godly wisdom from Solomon about our planning.

Reference Passage: … Matthew 6:31-34 [ESV] … USE THIS LINK …

Jesus commands His followers to avoid anxiety in our planning.

Reference Passage: … James 4:13-15 [ESV] … USE THIS LINK …

God, thru James, shows us that we should seek out the Lord’s direction in our planning.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Jennifer Benson Schuldt, AT THIS LINK   tells of poor architectural planning which caused major structural problems in a library which shared a building with an exercise facility, demonstrating the problems which often come from unwise human planning.

Today many of us will make plans for today and into the future - perhaps with a “TO DO” list; but the question we must ask ourselves from today’s ODB entry would be … Does my “to do” list match up with God’s today? … [see photo] …

And above we see from God’s truth (i.e., His word) that God so desires that we seek out and trust His will and His word to lead us and to avoid the anxiety of trusting in our own way to move thru today into tomorrow.

And I pray today - in accord with the linked song and the Scriptures above - that we all do all we can, thru prayer and using God’s GPS (i.e., His word), to have our “To Do” list coincide with our Lord’s.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, King Jesus, … for Your loving and guiding grace which leads me onward to plan for today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to do all we can to seek out and surrender to God’s guiding grace today.  … Amen
