Berry Patch Devotions in 2021 - Day 92

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ... Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from Fernando Ortega singing… Jesus Paid It All … poignantly singing too how Jesus paid it all and all to Him we owe as born-again Christians.

30 When Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished,” and He bowed His head and gave up His spirit.

… Jesus declares, as He dies, that He had paid all our sin debt by declaring, in the Greek, “Tetelestai !!”

Reference Passage: … John 3:16 [ESV] … 16 “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.

Jesus declares just how much it cost God, the Father, to pay of the sin debt of mankind.

Reference Passage: … Hebrews 9:24-26 [ESV] … USE THIS LINK

God’s word declares the price that Jesus paid on the cross - once for all - to secure the salvation for those who surrender all to serve Him as Lord.

Reference Passage: … 1Peter 3:18 [ESV] …

18 For Christ also suffered once for sins, the righteous for the unrighteous, that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh but made alive in the spirit, …

God, thru Peter’s teaching of the cost Jesus suffered on the cross - once for all - to bring us from the sin penalty of death to secure eternal life for all who would surrender to His Spirit.

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Bill Crowder, AT THIS LINK tells of Michelangelo sharing with a friend a 16th century chalk drawing (see photo) of what would become the famous sculpture of “The Pieta,” which depicted Jesus’ mother cradling her son - God’s Son - after His death and showing the price God’s Son paid for us to have eternal life.

It’s “GOOD Friday” today; … a day where we should be contemplating - with grateful hearts - the price our Lord paid when He said (as in the highlight passage), “It Is finished,” on the cross at the moment He died.

That phrase, “It is finished,” in the Greek (i.e., “tetelestai”) means “PAID IN FULL”, and it reflects the eternal price Jesus paid with His blood to bring us from eternal death for our sin debt to eternal life with our Lord. And so I pray we all are committed to live our lives to show our gratitude for the price Jesus paid so that we could live with Him forever as we give our all to walk with an to serve our Lord in this life.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, King Jesus, … for giving Your all so that we might give our all for You.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to express our gratitude, Lord, for what You did on the cross to pay our eternal debt. … Amen
