My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Xochitl Dixon, AT THIS LINK … relates a story of the son of a mixed-race father being questioned by an ice-cream store attendant, who asked the boy, “What are you?” The racist question angered the father, who had encountered such in the past. But the dad paused briefly and prayed for the man.
And the ODB entry today raises the question for all who read the entry, … asking us WHO WE ARE in Christ !! And I pray that all reading with me here can say strongly - and assertively - that we are children of God thru our faith in the finished work of Jesus on the cross for all who believe on Him. Because if we have surrendered to our Lord in repentance and faith, we are now God’s children; … yes, even heirs to God’s throne of grace with all the rights and privileges which come in family of God.
My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for being my Abba Father today and forever.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to declare openly that we are part of Your family, dear God! … Amen
