My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Winn Collier… AT THIS LINK … … used the story of Bridger Walker, who, at the age of six, jumped into take the bites of a menacing dog to save his little sister. And it took many subsequent plastic surgeries to correct the facial wounds young Walker took to save his little sibling. And the story illustrates what a brother or sister will do naturally to protect his/her sibling; but it pales by comparison as to what Jesus was willing to do to save His brothers/sisters as He died on a cross to protect and save His brothers and sisters in the family of God (see photo and Romans 5:8).
And I look at the photo displayed herein; and I see my Lord, … Who calls me His brother, … lifting me up, having saved my soul, and doing all He can, as my brother in Christ, to help me heal and serve Him into the future. Do any of my readers see themselves in that photo? If so, know that Your Brother, Jesus, is there to lift you up and protect you … FOREVER! …
