Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ... </b> …  Please take the time to take in this song with lyrics from The Heritage Singers singingThere Is A Quiet Place … poignantly singing of how we all need to find that quiet place daily to grow closer to the Lord and let Him into our hearts.

Finding that quiet-place to be with The Lord ...

Highlight Passage: … Mark 4:41 [NLT] …

11 Inside the Tent of Meeting, the Lord would speak to Moses face to face, as one speaks to a friend. Afterward Moses would return to the camp, but the young man who assisted him, Joshua son of Nun, would remain behind in the Tent of Meeting.

… Moses found a place where he could speak to the Lord as to a friend.  .

Reference Passage: … Psalm 119:9-11 [NLT] …  USE THIS LINK …

Reference Passage: … Luke 5:16 [NLT] …

16 But Jesus often withdrew to the wilderness for Prayer.

It was Jesus’ way to often find a quiet place in the wilderness to pray and be with His heavenly Father.

Reference Passage: … 2Timothy 2:15 [NLT] …

15 Work hard so you can present yourself to God and receive His approval. Be a good worker, one who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly explains the word of truth..

…Paul teaches Timothy (and us) what it takes to be good worker for God’s kingdom.

Reference Passage: … Revelation 3:20 [NLT] …

20 “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends..

… Jesus invites any born-again believer to open our hears to let Him come into our lives and fellowship with Him.  .

My Devotional JournalToday's Our Daily Bread author, Tom Felton  AT THIS LINK quotes Dr. Richard Swenson, in Swenson’s book, Margin,, writing …“We must have some room to breathe. We need freedom to think and permission to heal. Our relationships are being starved to death by velocity … “

And in our culture, Swenson has nailed the truth, as well as God in His word (see Scriptures above).  As Moses did (in the highlight passage), God’s servants need to find a quiet place every day where our Lord, perhaps thru His word, can enter our hearts and allow Jesus, primarily thru His word and thru His Spirit, to help us grow into Kingdom workers for God’s glory.

Today’s ODB entry shows us that Jesus often found a quiet-place to pray and be with HIs Heavenly Father (see Luke 5:16).  And I strongly feel that If it’s good enough for Jesus, it should be good for all Christians.  What do you say?  Do you have a quiet place to go each day to be alone with our Lord?  I do; and I’m here right now!  And it’s so joyful and peaceful to be hearing from my Lord thru His word.  I’m praying all my readers have that place of solitude (see photo) … to hear from God in His word and to pray … EVERY DAY!

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, …for sharing with me in my quiet place daily.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray that all reading here will join me, … to quietly be with our Lord again today.    … AMEN
