My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Karen Huang …  USE THS LNK -        … Tells of the ODB author’s two young nieces who used to want to play a game of turning off all the lights in their house at night and groping to find their way - with eyes closed - in the darkness, knowing that they could dispel the fear of darkness at any time by turning on the lights in the house and opening their eyes.     

The ODB story is an apt illustration of the choice we have as Christians … to choose to follow Christ, as the light of our lives, or to walk in the darkness of our sin nature.  Christ, by coming to live and to die to give us His light to follow has, as the Scriptures above teach, shown us His light - and His truth from His word - to follow out of the darkness of our sin and to lead others to that glorious Light.  That’s His Light I’m following today and tomorrow;… how about you?  

My Thanksgiving:… Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … Lord … for showing me the way to follow You out from the darkness of my sin into Your glorious, and ETERNAL, light.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... show us Your light and we will follow You all the way to glory.  … Amen
