My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, Sheridan Voysey … USE THS LNK - … relates a personal story of the ODB author’s father selling his most valuable possession, his car, to buy a ticket to travel to Peru to ask the woman, who would become his wife, to marry him. It was a risky personal sacrifice, but worth it … to show His love for the woman whom he felt he would spend the rest of his life.
And the story reminded the author of Mary, Jesus’ friend, who was willing to give up her most valued passion (see Highlight Passage), … that jar of precious perfume. which was used to bury beloved family members, … to wash the feet of Jesus to show her worship of Jesus as her Lord. And it raises the question of what we’re willing to give up to serve and follow Jesus as our Rabbi, … our Lord, … our King? Personally, He’s my ALL, and I’d be willing to give ANYTHING to serve Him. How about you?
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, …for giving Your all for me.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... whatever I have, I give to You. … Amen
