My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread Author, John Blase… USE THS LNK … wrote about 20th Century writer, Mary Flannery O’Connor, who, during her 39 years, suffered from the pain of lupous. However, having witnessed her father die of the same congenital disease, the pain she endured likely made O’Connor a better writer. Another novelist of her time, Alice McDermott, said, “It was the illness I think that made her the writer that she is.”
If my readers have taken in the linked song and meditated on the Scriptures I’ve shared above, would you agree with me, as fellow Christians, that God allows or gives us the trials and tribulations of life to build us into stronger Christians, … who can - and will - use God’s enabling grace to stand against the trials of life and serve the Lord more effectively? I hope and pray you do; .. because it’s God’s truth!!
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You …Lord, … for giving me Your enabling grace to deal with the trials of my life.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … for lifting us up with Your strength when we are weak. … Amen
