Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ... Please take the time to take in song and lyrics from Gordon Mote, blind Christian artist singing … Don’t Let Me Miss the Glory … poignantly singing of how, we Christians need to look around and see the glory of God in creation, … interestingly being sung by a blind singer-songwriter.
Hope blossoms in the midst of urban blight ...

My Devotional Journal: Today's Our Daily Bread author, Patricia Raybon, AT THIS LINK relates how the people of a downtrodden neighborhood in Philadelphia used flowers planted (see photo) which successfully raised the level of hope in the residents there, … illustrating what God teaches His people and Jesus His disciples in God’s word related below.
My friends, joy is not a feeling, … it is a choice! And that’s what God related to His people in their down-trodden condition (see highlight passage). And it’s what Jesus related to His disciples the night before He told them He would be betrayed and die (see John 16:24). And it’s what Paul related to fellow Christians to belay their anxieties and to help them find peace (see Phil 4:4-7).
And in the linked song today, a blind song-writer and singer, Gordon Mote, shows others (us) how to seek out and see God’s glory, … maybe even today … by looking around (if we can in our mind’s eye) to see the glory in God’s creation. Perhaps, in the midst of these viral (uncertain) times, we all need to do more of that and find more joy in God’s creation and our relationship with Him today (see Ps 118:24 and Habakkuk 3:17-18).

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, … for giving me hope and joy in looking around to see glimpses of Your glory in Your creation.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray, Lord, that all reading here will join me, to look around to sense God’s glory and find joy in today’s life, following Him from this current valley of the shadow of death into His haven of hope from our relationship with Christ. … Amen
