March 15, 2024 … What’s Our Legacy? …

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...  Please take the time to take in this song with lyrics from Nicole Nordeman  singing Legacy …  Poignantly, and yet  powerfully, singing of wanting to leave a legacy of how we have lived our lives for God’s glory.

10 Those who love money will never have enough. How meaningless to think that wealth brings true happiness!

… God’s Sprit, thru the Author of Hebrews, promises never to abandon those who live their (our) lives to glorify God, not relying on worldly wealth.

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Tim Gustafson -  AT THIS LINK -  tells how a self-made millionaire during the dust-bowl days in Kansas, since he had no children, decided to leave a legacy for those in his area, commissioning a sculpture to create nine statues of himself and his wife and became one of the most hated people in his home town.

And if my readers here today have taken in the poignant song by Nicole Nordeman and meditated on the Scriptures above, I believe “all y’all,” as we would say here in the South of the USA, will be asking, … as am I, …  what kind of legacy will we be leaving for those, possibly our children, to remember us?  Will it be a legacy of Godly living as Lord in His word calls us to live?  Oh, how I pray that is our eternal legacy?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for calling me to live Your legacy of Godliness.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray. again today, that all reading here will join me, … to live today and all days building a legacy of Godliness for Your glory, Lord.    … Amen
