March 2, 2024 … Waterfall Or Whisper?

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ... Please take the time to take in this song with lyrics from the The Gettys and Laura Story singing Speak O Lord …  Poignantly singing and leading in worship of how we in God’s church must listen for God’s voice to hear how He is leading us to His glory.

Millions of Monarchs ...

Highlight Passage: … Ezekiel 1:24 [NLT] …

Reference Passage: … 1Peter 3:11-12 [NLT] … USE THIS LINK

… The Apostle Peter teaches fellow Christians, by quoting from King David in Psalm 34, that God’s chosen are called to avoid evil to allow them (us) to have open ears to hear God’s call to righteous living.

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread  Author, Kirsten Holmberg -  AT THIS LINK -  writes about the noise from millions of Monarch butterflies preparing to migrate northward from the rain forests of Mexico which sounds like a waterfall with the loudness of their wings flapping together (see photo).  But the wings of only one of those tiny creatures can barely be heard.

The point made by the ODB illustration today was that God’s voice may come loudly, like the sound of a waterfall or quietly like a whisper; but we, His people, must listen to hear The Lord calling HIs church to follow Him.  And the only way we Christians can be tuned in to hear God calling is to clean out out our spiritual “ears” thru righteous living - as called for in the Scriptures above.  So, I’m praying we all have our Spiritual “ears” tuned and ready to hear God calling us today?  Personally, … I use God’s word to hear the Lord calling me more clearly.   How do you hear Him calling you?

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh, Abba Father, thank You, King Jesus, … for giving me Your word to hear You calling me again today, my Lord.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... . I pray. again today, that all reading here will join me, … to listen and hear You, calling us again today, Lord.  … Amen
