My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Arthur Jackson …  USE THIS LINK      … told of being raised in an African-American home where his family often would gather and partake of sumptuous “soul food” dinners which often included fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, greens, sweet potatoes, corn bread, and a dessert like peach cobbler.   

But though the ODB author’s family felt blessed to be able to share in such sumptuous food, they were blessed even more by the ultimate “soul food,” which comes from their faith in Christ, … the “bread of life,” which will satisfy those with faith in Christ … FOREVER.   I don’t know about you; but I partake of God’s “soul food” everyday, right here, partaking of God’s word and His truth.  And our Lord invites you to His table today.  Come and eat!

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You …Lord, … for inviting me to eat at Your eternal table and partake of the “bread of life.”  

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … thank You, Lord, for calling us to come and eat at Your “table” FOREER.  … Amen
