My Devotional Journal: Today’s Our Daily Bread from Lisa M Samra … USE THIS LINK … wrote about how the majestic, but rather scraggily, Joshua Trees in Joshua Tree National Park, were labeled … because of their limbs (see the photo), reminding those who named them - likely botanists - of how Joshua held up his sword to remind God’s people of God’s presence and power in their victory over the town of Ai in the bible.
I have a photo on my office wall, where I do these daily devotionals as I am right now, of Jesus raising his hand during that famous storm with His disciples, showing God’s presence and His power over all nature. It reminds me of God’s presence in my life every day, every moment; and my surrender to receive His love and grace … EVERY DAY - EVERY MOMENT. What is your reminder of God’s presence in your life?
My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You …Lord, … thank You, for reminding me of Your presence and Your protection in my life each day as I open Your word.
My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, … for providing us all, through Your word, of Your promise of Your continual presence and protection in our lives.… Amen
