My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author,  Anne Cetas  …  USE THS LNK  -          told of a friend, named Christine, who was visiting her Aunt and Uncle for dinner; … and before they ate, Christine’s uncle, who was not a Christian, but knowing that Christine was, asked if anyone had anything to say, which was his way of asking for prayer from Christine.  And knowing that her aunt was suffering from a serious illness, Christine took the opportunity to pray for a healing miracle from God.

And the incident reminded the ODB author of many promises from God’s word, like the one in The Highlight Passage and others from God’s word like those shared above, all of which show believers that God hears the prayers of those who come to The Lord in faith, … asking for things that are in God’s will.  Personally, that opens the door for my prayers this very day.   How  about you?  Got anything you need to bring to God today?

My Thanksgiving:… Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … Lord … for Your promise to hear my prayers today … and tomorrow.

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... for calling for us to pray for those concerns we might think are in Your will   … Amen

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author,  Xochitl Dixon  …  USE THS LNK  -         showed the 18 foot Grand Rapids Arch (see photo),  conceived and built by Andy Goldsworthy without using any mortar, building the arch with only 36 Scottish sandstone blocks, perfectly structured from the top stone to build the Arch.  And Goldsworthy’s arch reminded the ODB author of how God build’s His Temple (i.e.,Church) with faith in Christ as His cornerstone.

And as my readers today take in the linked song and the Scriptures above, I pray we all are building out lives with Christ as our “Cornerstone.”  Using God’s word is my building plan.   What’s yours?

Devotional Song: ... GO TO THIS LINK ...    and PLEASE take the time to listen to music and lyrics, from Jeremy Camp,  singing Walk By Faith… declaring that he (and fellow Christians) will walk by faith, no matter what they (we) face on the road of life.

Highlight Passage: … Acts 8:7-8 … [NLT] …

Many evil spirits were cast out, screaming as they left their victims. And many who had been paralyzed or lame were healed. So , there was great joy in that city.

My Devotional JournalToday’s Our Daily Bread Author,  Dave Brandon  …  USE THS LNK  -     writes about a European Pastor, Hristo Kulichev, who was imprisoned; but after being released, he paradoxically declared, …  “We had a more fruitful ministry there than we could have expected in church. God was better served by our presence in prison than if we had been free.”

And the ODB entry was all about the truth declared by many Biblical sources (see Scriptures shared above) that the trials and persecutions of life are brought into our lives to deepen our faith walk (see photo) and give Christians a platform to share the Gospel, which ALWAYS prevails in the face of persecution and trials.

Whatever we face today, my fellow Christian readers, let us do so - with joy - knowing that we can face life’s trials with God’s promise that His glory will come from our facing suffering for His sake.   Personally, I’m up for it again today.   How about you?

My Thanksgiving: … Oh, King Jesus, thank You, … Lord … for giving me Your enabling grace to face the road ahead.

My Prayer TodayOh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... for calling us today … and every day … to walk by faith on the road of life ahead. … Amen
