July 15, 2015 … Hearts Transformed

Daily Berry Patch Devotions in 2015 - Day 196

Devotional Song: … GO TO THIS LINK  … Please once again take the time to once again take in a video of the modern Gaither Vocal Band singing Bill Gaither’s original song He Touched Me, declaring the reality which happens to any believer who surrenders his/her heart to the cleansing power of transformation which comes from receiving the saving grace of Jesus Christ.

Highlight Passage Ezekiel 36: 26 [NKJV] …
26 I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
… Oh, … come soon, Lord Jesus!

Reference Passage #1 - Proverbs 4: 23 [NKJV] …
23 Keep (i.e., guard) your heart with all diligence, for out of it spring the issues of life.
… Oh how we must guard the condition of our heart.

… It’s what’s in the heart which contaminates our life choices … note especially verses 18-19 where Jesus declares the status of the heart.

Reference Passage #3 - 1st John 1: 9 [NKJV] …
9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
… Our hearts cleansed by confession.

My Journal for Today: Today’s Our Daily Bread author, Lawrence Darmani, helps his readers (me) to realize or remember the power of God’s grace to cleanse the heart of sinners and make them over into the newness of born-again believers with hearts transformed for the glory of God.

So, Darmani asks his readers today, “What is the condition of your heart?” Has it been touched and made new as the Gather band sings (see linked song)? … If not, anyone reading here can have a transformed and newly cleansed heart by simply repenting of past sin and receiving the cleansing and saving grace of Jesus.

Oh, how I pray that is the condition of your heart today.

My Prayer Today: Oh Lord, … I pray all who read here with me today have newly made-over hearts which sing of your saving grace. Amen
