My Devotional Journal: Today's ODB author, James Banks, uses a personal story to illustrate how things may change in our world but God never changes. … The ODB author wrote: My wife, Cari, and I recently traveled to Santa Barbara, California—the city where we met and fell in love thirty-five years ago—to attend our college reunion. We planned to visit several places where we had spent some of the best hours of our youth together. But when we arrived at the location of our favorite Mexican restaurant, we found a building supply store there. A wrought iron plaque hung on the wall commemorating the restaurant and its four decades of service to the community.
I gazed on the barren but still familiar sidewalk, once dotted cheerfully with colorful tables and bright umbrellas. So much had changed around us! Yet in the midst of change, God’s faithfulness never changes.

I’m stopping to pray right now that all reading here truly believe in Christ and His unchanging nature and the truth of His immutable promises. God never lies (find and meditate on Numbers 23:19 on your own); … and His word lasts forever (see Is. 40:8). And finally, Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and tomorrow (see Heb. 13:8). And so, we can trust God as our Lord, thru Solomon, commanded in Prov. 3:5-6, … which I hope you know on your own.

And not knowing what any of you are going thru today, the fact that our God never changes gives me - and I pray you - the confidence to go thru any day - like today - trusting in His word and His never changing nature.

My THANKFULNESS: ... Oh Abba Father, ... thank You, Lord, ... for being the same for me from Your word today … and tomorrow … and forever!

My Prayer Today: Oh Abba Father, ... King Jesus, ... I pray, Lord, that all reading here join me to declare our praise and trust in God’s unchanging nature. . … Amen
